Stan Monroe: Absolutely crushed to hear about the passing of Theresa. She and I shared the stage from 2014 to 2020 with Vivid Black. Theresa was an incredible vocalist and performer, and the Denver community of musicians will miss her deeply.

Scotty Brown: It seems like I’ve known you forever, you were such a beautiful kind soul and talented beyond belief, I will miss and love you forever, Theresa.

Scott Rogers: I hate days like this. I knew Theresa Wand for 25 years. Long long before either of us were part of the Denver music scene. She used to tell me “I can sing” and I’d laugh. 10 yrs ago I invited her to come “sing” at the very 1st Sisters of Rock show Michael Martinez let me do at McCarthy’s. He loved her. Knew Vivid Black needed a singer and called Don DiMasi Stan Monroe Bryce Feist from the show to talk about her. And so began her legendary run. She was a character. Today is a sad day.

Diane Elizabeth Robinson: Started hearing the heartbreaking news last night in our music community of Theresa Wand ‘s untimely passing. Theresa was an incredible singer and genuinely nice person. I hoped her new life was happy and full when they moved. I worked multiple shows with Theresa in Vivid Black over the years, the last time being Nate Winger’s memorial tribute show. When I was battling cancer 10 years ago, I will never forget an act of incredibly meaningful kindness she extended to me during a very dark period in my life. She came up and asked to hug me to help release the disease and suffering then blew it out with her breath. That was Theresa. Empathic people, kindred spirits, recognizing the suffering behind a brave smile. In the end, I wish I could have done the same for her. Very sad loss. My deepest condolences to her husband, Tony, her children, her band mates, friends and loved ones. Rest in eternity dear.
