Photo: Greg Boland | Local Bassist Greg Boland (Jaded Poet) Passes From Cancer After Long Illness | Timothy Lee Houston: R.I.H. My great friend and band mate for the last 15 years, Greg Boland. He passed earlier [this month]. I will miss you, brother. So many shows and so much fun. https://www.facebook.com/timothy.l.huston
Teigan McGuire: My dad was too humble to admit how cool he actually was, but anyone who knew him knows how effortlessly badass he was. It somehow feels fitting that he went out on 4/20… one last nod to his style and spirit. And his kitty Taz crossed the bridge with him the same day by a stroke of fate.
My dad was the most selfless, kind person – he always put everyone before himself. He would drop everything in a heartbeat anytime I called him for help. He was too proud to let anyone know his struggles. He fought cancer as long and as hard as he could, but his fight is over. He is rocking the heavens playing his bass guitar and shooting guns like the old westerns he always loved.
I will miss him every second of everyday for the rest of my life. Rest easy, Dad. #fuckcancer
