In Memoriam|

Photo: Emmeline Carpenter | From Cindy Carpenter Wallace on Fb with Eric Wayne Wallace | I so very much appreciate all the support and love through this horrible time of putting my beautiful 14 year old niece, Emmeline, to rest. It was a perfect celebration of a packed room, including a 24-stringed orchestra from the high school where she was soon to join as a violinist. This angel picture [not shown] was last Halloween dressed as her favorite composer, Tchaikovsky, which the orchestra also performed during the funeral. She was an unbelievable artist for her young age. Attached is a picture [not shown] she first drew free hand and then painted. Not having a daughter, nor a granddaughter, Emme was my girl and I adored her. Thank you to my love, Eric, for holding down the fort these weeks I’ve been in Florida.

On March 22nd, our sweet and precious Emmeline unexpectedly passed away. No family is ever prepared for the loss of a child, especially at the young age of 14. Emme is survived by her single-parent mother Kim along with her two brothers. The children were born triplets and were a miraculous blessing to family and friends as they were born early and survived several months out of the womb, each only weighing between two and three pounds. There is that special “triplet bond” between these children, and the family not only needs assistance with the funeral expenses, memorial expenses and medical expenses, but intense family grief counseling. Kim had only started working at a new job two weeks prior to losing Emme and, although the company has been very supportive, she doesn’t know when she will be comfortable leaving the boys and returning to work. The 14-year-old boys are still in shock and need their Mother close.

Please help this family during this extremely difficult time. Emmeline was a beautiful, talented artist and musician and had many friends and family that dearly loved her. We are all crushed and will miss her terribly. Please show your love by sending a gift to aid this grieving family.

The funeral (or as we like to call it “celebration”) for Emmeline’s life was stunning. It’s the first time the funeral home had ever had an orchestra play there – and it was amazing. You can view the service online at: Obituary for Emmeline Elizabeth Carpenter | North Brevard Funeral Home

If you would like a copy of the service, please email me at [email redacted], and I will send to you, as you will be unavailable to do so online after 90 days. Much love and thanks for all your continued support. This gofundme will remain online. Thank you!!! Aunt Cindy

Obituary
Emmeline Elizabeth Carpenter, 14, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Parrish Medical Center in Titusville, Florida. Emmeline was born the third infant of triplets at Orlando’s Winnie Palmer Hospital at only 30 weeks gestation (10 weeks early) on December 13, 2008. She arrived as a “preemie” along with her brothers, Matthew and Daniel Carpenter.

Though she had an early start in life, she thrived beautifully in academics, becoming a Cambridge Honor Student at Jackson Middle School in Titusville. However, creativity and artistry were her true passion, developing her skills and growing into an amazing portrait artist and outstanding violinist. She was so proud when she earned the position of First Chair in the Chamber at Jackson Middle School, an achievement she worked on both day and night. She also placed in many art fairs around the county, encouraging her sense of style and precision in creating outstanding portraits, usually of her favorite composers.

Emmeline is survived by her mother, Kimberly Carpenter, her brothers Daniel and Matthew, her Aunt Cindy and Uncle Eric, in addition to Uncles Michael, John, and Jim, her “Granny” Helen Gott, her “adopted aunt,” Judy Howery, as well as several extended family members.

Emmeline’s life was celebrated on April 14, 2023.

From Jamey Crow Bartley: Kristopher “Kris” Welsh “Welsh” passed away on April 12, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Lafayette Colorado.

Kris was born on January 22, 1972 in Bellflower California, and moved to Colorado when he was just over one year old.

He grew up in the Northglenn/Thornton area until he was 10 years old when Mom married Bob Ford and they moved into the house they all loved on 108th Place in Westminster.

Kris was the youngest of seven children, Mary Wichter, Patricia Gaschler, Mark Welsh, Joleen Reefe, Barbara “Bobbie” Glock (deceased) and Scott Welsh.

He is predeceased by both of his parents, Lois Ford and Bill Welsh as well as his stepfather, Bob Ford.

Coming from a huge family, he had lots of nieces and nephews, that thought of him more as a brother than an uncle; Jason Wichter (deceased), Shawn Wichter, Sara Doyle, Michelly Lyle, Jake Reefe, Jenni Palmer, Nathan Welsh, Katie Welsh, Stephanie Glock, and Jeremy Christensen. He is survived by his daughter, Jocelyn Welsh and son, Tyler Starbuck, as well as lots of grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.

Kris loved music, cars, motorcycles and of course being with friends and family. Some of his favorite pastimes have been playing in bands, as a bass guitarist and singer with “No One Left Standing”,and “9/10th’s of the Law”, as well as a few others over the years. He loved painting cars, cooking and tearing things apart to figure out how they worked.

His face would light up when he had the opportunity to prepare something special for Joci…. smoked ribs… green chili… grilled steaks… spaghetti.

His good sense of humor and big heart will be missed by each of us. He really was a big teddy bear!

A Celebration of Life will be held May 13th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Interlocken East Park, 280 Interlocken Blvd., Broomfield CO 80020

OTHER NOTABLE MUSICIANS’ DEATHS

From Brother Rob on Facebook: Bummed out over the loss of my friend Robert Sandusky. He was the singer in the band ‘Dr. Swift’ – maybe some of you remember him. He was a good man, and we had a great time on the road back in the day. Dr. Swift consisted of David Lucero on drums, Rob Sandusky lead singer and guitar, Chris Rivera on guitar, and Rick Jones on bass. They were one of the best bands I’ve ever worked with and they had a great run on the cover circuit for years – some of the best times of my life. We were all Brothers together and had each others backs. RIP, Rob. Love you, Brother. ~ Brother Rob
