Over 1,000 songs, more than 400 gold and platinum awards – these numbers speak for themselves. The producer, whose birth name was Horst Nußbaum, shaped the German and international music landscape for decades. Everyone knows his hits, yet his name often remained in the background.

The Great German Hits
In the 1970s, White established himself as one of the most sought-after German hit producers. For Jürgen Marcus, he wrote “Eine neue Liebe ist wie ein neues Leben” – one of the best-selling German songs ever. Tony Marshall achieved his biggest hit with “Schöne Maid”, also penned by White.

International Success in the 1980s
Jack White achieved his international breakthrough in the 1980s. With Laura Branigan, he produced “Gloria” and “Self Control” – both songs even made it to the US Top Ten. “Gloria” became a worldwide hit and turned Branigan into a megastar. White also collaborated with the British singer on several other songs.

For Jermaine Jackson and Pia Zadora, White composed the international hit “When The Rain Begins To Fall”. He also worked with Johnny Logan, Paul Anka, Tony Christie, and Engelbert. The Cologne-born producer also created Audrey Landers’ “Manuel Goodbye”, which became a massive hit in Germany.
