Wonderful, gifted keyboardist Daniel Magoun passes
A genius in the realm of music is gone. My brother Daniel passed away yesterday suddenly and inexplicably. I’ll know more about the specific cause later today. Shock, grief, sadness, doesn’t begin to cover the loss I feel. He was my brother, my best friend, my room mate. We shared everything, and were gearing up to do a musical duo that now will never be. Daniel wrote the most beautiful music. Thousands of compositions – and he remembered them all which never ceased to amaze me who knew him best of all. I will be seeing my mother tomorrow in person, and will have to inform her of the loss of another son. No definite plans have been made yet, but I’ll let you all know when decisions are made. The loss to the music world is staggering. He will be missed greatly.

Daniel was a truly gifted musician and sadly his music was meant for a deeper listening audience, probably a few decades back in time. Peace and love during these times.
