In Memoriam|

Carvin Jones, 1/26/19: I’ve cried so many tears today at the passing of my long time bass player Bill Troxell. This guy was my rock as we kicked a lot of ass onstage worldwide for years. He had my back like no other. When he became sick and couldn’t play bass anymore, I loved him so much I brought him on tour with me anyway until the doctors forced him to stay home. For 9 years we kicked ass from pillar to post. Trust me – they don’t make ‘em like Bill anymore. Rest easy, my blues brother… I am truly devastated.

Tammy Payne: A very dear friend, Bill Troxell passed away. Bawling my eyes out ever since. He was a good friend and a great guy. So many memories and laughs together. He had the best stories. He always knew how to shrug off the little stuff and taught me how to have a tough skin which, in this industry, is required at times. I still have the pin and all the little toys that came in those kinder eggs he would bring me from his tours with Carvin Jones overseas. I miss him so much. Playing bass was everything for Bill. I know he’s up there telling some of those great stories and jamming with the greats. I love you, Bill. RIP.
