It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of a remarkable soul, Stacy Lynn Price. She was not just a wife, sister, daughter, cousin, and friend, but an inspiration to everyone whose lives she touched. On Thursday, June 22nd, Stacy succumbed to complications from her fight with cancer. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her immediate family, leaving behind a legacy of love and light that will forever shine brightly.

Stacy’s journey as a singer-songwriter and music teacher brought joy to her community of friends and family. She was the epitome of a constant and life-long learner. She poured her passion into playing and making musical instruments, as well as engaging with complex software to remix and remaster her own recordings. As a performer, her melodic voice and heartfelt lyrics resonated deeply with all of humanity, touching the hearts of those fortunate enough to listen. She was an amazing music teacher, never focusing on herself but always focusing on the aspirations of others, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all her students.

Stacy’s vibrant personality extended beyond her music. She cherished the simple pleasures of life, finding solace in activities such as kayaking, car camping, playing with her beloved ‘weirdling’ dog Rocket, and transforming her home through remodeling projects. She had a very green thumb and found immense joy in planting flowers and creating beautiful landscapes in her yard.

Even in the face of adversity, Stacy remained a beacon of positivity. She selflessly comforted and consoled others, even during her own battles, reminding us of the true power of compassion and empathy. When asked why she wasn’t more somber during the last phase of her illness, Stacy said “I’m trying to be more negative about all this, but I just can’t.”

Our deepest condolences go out to Stacy’s wife Christina Price, brother Wes Price, and father Richard Price, as well as her entire family and friends. Stacy was one-of-a-kind and we hope to find solace in the memories we all share of this unique individual. May Stacy’s legacy serve as a reminder to live life to the fullest, just as she did. As her father Richard said, Stacy always followed the beat of her own drum. She may not have been perfect at many things, but there was one thing she was perfect at: being herself.

Rest in peace, dear Stacy. Your bright beautiful spirit will forever resonate within us.
