Ed Skibbe writes: It is a sad week for the whole Eddy Roswell family. Our beloved friend and brother-in-arms, David Sondrup, passed away this week. David was kind, wise, stoical, enigmatic, sincere, talented and generous. He was a great friend and collaborator.
He played drums with Eddy Roswell and Phantom Ranch when we conceived, wrote and recorded the Wood&Wires record. His playing, ideas, and production ear left an indelible imprint on that record, on those songs, and on our souls.
He is/was loved and will be missed mightily.
Adios, amigo! “I’m gonna point this old truck south and I’m gonna drive, ’til I’m not cold inside.”
