By Anthony Robledo, USA Today | Country star and choreographer Criscilla Crossland Anderson, who has performed with stars from Britney Spears to Rihanna, has died from colon cancer. She was 45. Her death was confirmed by her friend and photographer, Lindsey, on Instagram on Wednesday, Dec. 3. “My heart is shattered to share this. I promised Criscilla I would walk this journey with her whenever she couldn’t stand on her own two feet, and I pray she knows how fiercely she was loved,” she wrote alongside multiple photos of Anderson. “Being by her side until the very end was the greatest honor of my life.”
The hip-hop dancer, who starred in the 2020 Netflix reality series “Country Ever After” alongside her ex-husband Coffey Anderson, was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer in 2018. She was cancer-free in 2021 before it returned, affecting her lymph nodes, in 2022.

OTHER NOTABLE MUSICIANS’ DEATHS
Mark Diamond on FB, 12/08/25: I just learned that drummer Gene Bass passed away yesterday at 95. He and I met in 1982 when we both auditioned to join a blues band from Ft. Collins (which evolved into Jumpin’ Johnny and the Blues Survivors), and we both got the gig. He didn’t last very long because he didn’t want to travel so much but we had some great times while he was with us! He was a good guy with lots of stories, a memorable character, and was loved and appreciated by many! RIP, GB….
Chris Daniels on Fb, 12/06/25: Today I went to a celebration of life for one of my dearest and closest friends Greg Carr. He was the artist and designer who did the last 10 Chris Daniels and the Kings records and a ton of our videos. He was funny, kind, caring and brilliant. He also created packages, posters and brilliant videos for artists as varied as Steve Martin, The Kingston Trio, Jim and Sally Ratts, Hazel Miller, Mark Oblinger and many many more. It’s not often that you see somebody’s life laid out in art, in music, in stories, and hilarious reflections by those that knew him and loved him. I have no words for the sadness that I’m still processing after Greg’s death, but I am forever grateful to his family, his friends, Al,Bret, Mel, Josh, Willie, Ember at Swallow Hill Music and everybody who came out to celebrate his life and legacy. It was a beautiful gathering – and I think Greg would have enjoyed it. Travel safe you old Wyoming cowboy! Big hugs and love CD
(A little birdie told me that Mr. Carr had also designed the Colorado Music Association’s first logo. I was not aware of that. Thank you, Mr. Carr, for lending us your artistic talents as well).
