Photo: Cass Ivey | Colorado Musicians –> Pete Isakovic: Gutted…Words cannot overstate the magnitude of this incredible loss to the Denver music community. Cass was the powerhouse behind everything good that happened at RocketSpace over the past few years. With the energy of 1000 puppies, she built and maintained a brand and space that musicians welcomed and adored. She also crushed at LiveNation, handling the jobs of 10 employees, and exemplified everything a strong, independent, entrepreneurial woman stood for.
It’s the reason I hired her to lead the charge of Lodo Drum Guy’s growth. I told her her job title would be Assistant/CEO, and that with performance-based bonuses, knowing how she worked, she’d make six-figures. She was supposed to start right after putting together UMS and finishing up the Garage Sale. She would’ve started next week. Absolutely devastated to hear of her tragic passing. She was the best one of us all. RIP Cass. | https://www.facebook.com/groups/200226219988088
Rocket Space: We are heartbroken to share the sudden passing of our friend, RocketSpace manager, and longtime employee across all of our venues since 2021, Cassandra “Cass” Ivey.
Cass was so smart, funny, and full of life, and an incredibly important part of the music community. She was entirely self-taught in repairing and maintaining the equipment at RocketSpace, always stepping in to solve problems with skill, patience, and care.
Her presence, kindness, and the relationships she built with our staff, musicians, and everyone who had the chance to meet her will be deeply missed and felt for a long time to come.
Her life was tragically cut short in a motorcycle accident caused by a drunk driver. We are devastated by this unimaginable loss, and our thoughts are with her family, friends, and everyone who knew and loved her. | https://www.facebook.com/theRocketSpace ~ Sean Patrick Lynch

My friend and beloved employee Cass was killed last night by a drunk driver while she was riding a motorcycle in Colorado Springs. I’m still numb. I talked with her mom several times throughout the night and she wanted me to share.
She was the tiniest little fireball of joy and happiness and made you feel nothing but love when you got in her bubble. It was impossible to not see her smile and smile yourself. I know my customers feel the same and the amount of messages and texts I’m getting is staggering.
We’re going to miss her so so much in the shop. When I have service details I will pass it on. The shop will remain closed as we navigate an issue with the state and now we mourn the loss of Cass. Unsure of when we can and will reopen.
Hug your friends. I don’t know how much more heartbreak I can handle, but nothing compares to a loss of a beloved friend in the small scene of Denver.
Such a beautiful soul taken. If you’re drinking call an Lyft or Uber. This is crushing. RIP.
Love you all | https://www.facebook.com/scavengedgoods
