Erika Brown, 7/24/26: It’s a Season of losses. Just heard about Wolf (and Jim Mimna). Fine Men, both. Jim took many a photo of me over the years, and was one of the nicest fellows I’ve ever met. Wolf was a fixture in the Colorado Blues Scene, and could be found at many a venue on almost any night of the week. Both will be incredibly missed. Rest well, Gentlemen. You made our lives so much better.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I have decided to suspend, at least temporarily, my campaign to run for President of The United States of America (and so it goes)

Normally this space is reserved for biting humor, playful puns and eye-rolling nonsense, but to day different: today is July 4th, and while most other times we’d be respectfully posting July 4th puns and cartoons, this particular July 4th is even more different.
Today doesn’t feel like July 4th, it doesn’t feel like America (as of right now) is a place to be honored and revered … instead it’s one of sadness, of regret, of dishonor, of hatred and division and intolerance, a country that is sadly misaligned with the overarching intentions of the “Founding Fathers” and not the country that The Greatest Generation went to war for in the 1940s, the country that generation fought and died for.
It’s rather a sad day, but instead of whining about the situation and instead of waiting for some new American Hero to rise up and “Save America” we (editorial license in force) here at The Daily PUN-ishment hereby announce that The Red White & Blues Party is alive and well and we (ok, just Wolf) are ready to (again) run for President of the United States of America, and we’re asking for YOUR help … not your money (certainly not yet) but help and support, and together WE can do this!

So, what do we NEED to do and how can YOU help?
First, this has to “go viral” and reach as many humans as possible, 100 people need to share with another 100 people and they need to share with another 100 and so on … we need a movement, something entirely different from what most people call a “political party” … we need to be on ballots in every state, coast-to-coast and back again, and that’s the hard part that will take WORK: collecting signatures from however many people as possible as proscribed by state law … at sports events, music festivals, shopping malls, universities, anywhere and everywhere the law (and local business owners) allow, and THAT will take the work and efforts of people everywhere
If you can help, even if only by tagging others and raising awareness, thank you! (and tag some folks in comments) … if you have friends or family who feel the same hit ’em up and tell THEM to tell others, etc., etc., etc.
This CAN happen and we CAN get this Once Great Country back on track, but only if we ALL work together and truly listen to one another to solve issues that are common to all, in a manner that works best for everyone
Inclusion, not exclusion
Tolerance, not intolerance
Peace, not war
Love, not hate
Respect, not judgemental
DEI and Wokism, not divisiveness and anger
People Working Together, not competing against each other
Equality for All, not layered systems of justice
Freedom for All, not just for some
We the People, not they the corporations

From Lisa DeWitt: The hits just keep on coming. Less than 7 months ago, Wolf (flashing peace sign) was mourning the loss of our friend Kate L. Ormsbee and now he’s gone, too. He had endured two hip replacements and was hospitalized for an unrelated issue recently but things seemed on the upswing of late. A great supporter of music and dogs and just mankind in general. He was the subject of one of my CBS Member Spotlight articles a couple years ago so I’ll allow him to share a bit more about himself. Such a gut punch. He will be missed.
