Photo: Meghan Trainor, DSE attendee | Hi everyone, We wish you all a Happy New Year…and we’re looking forward to seeing many of you at the Durango Expo in Ventura February 20-22. This excitement is, of course, tempered by our concern for the safety of our many friends and colleagues in the L.A. area. The utter destruction that the fires have caused is almost beyond belief. We here at the Expo offer our support and love, and we pledge to do all we can to be of assistance.
To that end, we wanted to share a list of Fire Relief Resources that was put together by the Guild of Music Supervisors. Feel free to share this with anyone you know who has been affected by the fires: LA WILDFIRE RESOURCES FOR THE MUSIC COMMUNITY
Jim Attebery spent a lot of very impactful years in Malibu and the Pacific Palisades area. The musical experiences he had there certainly inspired him in the development of the Durango Expo.
Now we hope that, as has been in the past, the February Expo in Ventura will provide an inspirational boost and a sense of community that is much needed at this time.
We hope that our Durango friends in the L.A. area, and their loved ones, are all safe and secure. As bad as it is now, we know the future will be much brighter.

LA WILDFIRE RESOURCES FOR THE MUSIC AND INDUSTRY COMMUNITY
Billboard is listing different resources for those that work in music. They will be updating their list as resources come in.
L.A. Wildfire Relief: Organizations Providing Assistance for Music Industry Workers (Updating)
Entertainment Community Fund: Emergency financial assistance from the Entertainment Community Fund is open to “eligible performing arts and entertainment professionals” who are “in times of unexpected critical need.” It can help with “basic living expenses” including health care and housing.
