We want to say a HUGE thanks to everyone that has donated to our Go Fund Me from the fire. Your donations made it possible for us to reopen in just 3 weeks time. The money has been transferring across and we have orders on the way. We had a few things Barb [Hardt] bought for the holidays that are already in the store as well.
Most of our friends and family know we were moving into a smaller space on Halloween. After 10 years at Caribou Village (and 16 years in business), we were going to downsize. We just didn’t think it would happen the way it did, losing everything we had in the store overnight.
We continue to find the light with support from the community; heck, support from across the world. We are using what we received to fill that space with beautiful instruments and all of the tools necessary to continue some of the luthier work we’ve always done.
We also have some Go Fund Me money coming from the amazing fund set up by Dan Vollmer, which will stabilize our business for the time being. Thank you to everyone that donated to that larger fund for all the businesses that burned.
Many of you also know we were insured, and while underinsured, our insurance company will eventually pay out what they believe is reasonable. They’ve been wonderful to us.
What we’ll all need is you, our amazing community, to spend your dollars locally with all of our businesses while we rebuild. Please consider shopping at Brightwood Music, Mountain Man Outdoor Store, taking yoga at the temporary locations of Tadasana Mountain Yoga, using the services of Columbine Family Care and Nederland Chiropractic & Wellness Center. We know Inna Guseva is in a temporary space as well as LB Witulski. Visit with them.
And, last, there are multiple Go Fund Me accounts set up for individual businesses. Here is a larger list: https://www.themtnear.com/stories/donate-to-the-lakeview-fire-victims,62399
Thank you for your outpouring of support, your hugs, your contributions, your texts, emails, calls and most of all your LOVE for each and every one of us impacted by the fire,
Out of chaos.. hope.. Barbara Hardt and Doug Brightwood
