By Emily Ferguson, Westword | Centennial Will Get a New Music Venue From Creators of the Springs’ Ford Amphitheater. After opening the highly anticipated Colorado Springs outdoor venue Ford Amphitheater last year, VENU just announced that it has acquired a property in Centennial that it will transform into an indoor music venue.
The space is at 15755 East Arapahoe Road, formerly occupied by Celebrity Lanes Bowling; the company anticipates closing on the sale by June 1. VENU’s plans for the spot include its signature fire-pit suite boxes as well as a restaurant with custom-crafted menus.
“Take everything you know about indoor venues and throw it out the window,” says J.W. Roth, who is the founder, chairman and CEO of VENU. “We have assembled a powerhouse team of architects, designer, and operators to deliver the ultimate destination in Centennial. It will set a new standard not just for Denver, but for the entire industry. Like everything else we do, this will be over the top.”

New Country Bar Opens in Downtown Denver

There’s a new country bar in town, downtown specifically.
Belles & Boots, a barbecue restaurant and country dancing venue, opened at 1930 Blake St. in Lower Downtown on Friday, in time for the Colorado Rockies’ opening day.

The country bar will have a wide array of entertainment from line dancing to mechanical bull riding on “Bullcifer,” bottle service, live musicians, DJs — all under a glittering cowboy boot-shaped disco ball. . . .
