Photo: Stephen & Ethan Cain | Associated Press | Apparently false fears of a shooting at a rap concert in Rochester, New York, sent a crowd surging toward the exits, killing one person and injuring nine others, police said. The injuries at Sunday night’s concert featuring rappers GloRilla and Finesse2tymes were caused by people being trampled, Police Chief David M. Smith said at a news briefing Monday. “We do not have any evidence of gunshots being fired or of anyone being shot or stabbed at the scene,” Smith said.

As the concert at Rochester’s Main Street Armory ended just after 11 p.m., people exiting the venue began to surge dangerously, Smith said. Police made their way inside and found three women with critical injuries, he said.

A 33-year-old woman died died at a hospital, and the other women two were in critical condition (one of these ladies later died) Monday, police said said. Seven additional people were taken to hospitals and treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, Smith said.

“What began last night as a night of live music and fun for the performer GloRilla ended in tragedy with one person dead and two more fighting for their lives,” the chief said.

Police: Ohio Band Member and Family Members Dead in Murder-Suicide

By Greg Wehner, Fox News

A southwestern Ohio thrash metal band singer and members of his family were killed in an apparent murder-suicide late last month, according to police.

The Clermont County Sheriff’s Office said deputies went to a residence on Riebel Ridge in Ohio Township in Ohio at about 9:40 a.m. on Feb. 27 and as they approached the house, they heard multiple gunshots from inside the home.

Deputies made several attempts to contact the occupants inside but were unsuccessful. Instead, the Sheriff’s Special Response Team was called to the scene and entered the home.

When the team members entered, they found five victims of gunshot wounds, four of whom were dead. The fifth victim, 20-year-old Samantha Cain, was treated at the scene and transferred by Pierce Township EMS crews to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

She remains in critical condition, according to the sheriff’s office.

The four victims who were found dead were Steven Cain, 50; Theresa Cain, 46; William Felton, 74; and Ethan Cain, 13.

After an investigation at the crime scene and a preliminary autopsy report by the Hamilton County Coroner, the sheriff’s office said they believe Theresa Cain is responsible for the shooting deaths of three family members and the shooting of her daughter Samantha.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Theresa’s husband, Steve Cain, was the singer of a thrash metal band called Critical Khaos.

Sheriff: Mom shot family minutes before deputies arrived to evict them from foreclosed Ohio Township home

By Jennifer Edwards Baker, Officials said the Clermont County Sheriff’s Office is investigating four deaths in Ohio Township on Monday, February 27, 2023, as a possible homicide-suicide. The sheriff’s office said the incident occurred Monday morning at home on the 1100 block of Riebel Ridge.

Investigators believe Theresa Cain shot her family members, killing three of them, just minutes before deputies arrived to serve them with eviction papers as they were removed from their foreclosed home, Sheriff Steve Leahy said Thursday.

The eviction was the culmination of a long history of financial problems for the family that appears to be the motive of the murder-suicide that left a total of four relatives dead and a fifth fighting for her life, he said.
