Jim Chapman and his daughter Savanna in better days.

From Jim Chapman: Hi everyone This is to inform you all what has been decided for Savanna Chapman’s Memorial Service and Celebration of Life. The date of both will be Saturday, June 25th, 2016. The Memorial will be at Crossroads Church at 9725 West 50th  Avenue, Wheat Ridge, Colorado 80033, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Her Memorial and Celebration of Life will continue immediately after at The Buffalo Rose at 1119 Washington Avenue, Golden, Colorado 80401 from 3:00 p.m. to ??? This will be a gathering of friends and family who knew and loved Savanna to meet, talk and share stories. There will be catering by Sweet and Cinister (Cindi Gardner) consisting of sandwiches and miscellaneous salads. If anyone wants to bring a dish, desserts, chips, dips, etc., they are welcome to do so but, please, bring it in a disposable container. Live music will be provided by Vivid Black.

It feels a bit strange and I don’t feel right about creating an actual [Facebook] Event for this occasion. I know this has been a very sad loss for a lot of people and want you all to know that you are all welcome. Let’s make this a FANTASTIC day of remembering this beautiful young lady with people meeting and sharing, just as she would have wanted.

There will be a box to collect money for a donation to be made in Savanna’s name that will be used to help someone in some way. Not quite sure who or what yet but it will go towards helping people who are affected by this terrible demon called addiction. I promise to let everyone know how much and who it is, as well as “why” when that time comes. Thank You to everyone in advance for loving her and remember… She will be there with us. Live, Laugh and Love…

[Jim asks on his Facebook page: “Can we please get a show of hands with maybe a simple “I will be there” so we can get a close head count?” Please go to his page and let him know that you will come to support him and his family during this time of mourning and celebration of Savanna’s life. http://www.facebook.com/Jim_Chapman ]
