This article involves Copyright Violation. | By Connor MacCrory, The Mirror | White House social media accounts have again used Taylor Swift’s music in videos featuring President Donald Trump, only for the song to later disappear from the post.
On Wednesday, the official White House TikTok account published a video showing Trump greeting supporters and appearing at public events while Swift’s 2021 vault track I Bet You Think About Me played in the background. The post was captioned, “We know you think about us,” a reference to the song’s lyrics.
Within hours, however, the music was muted and removed from that particular video. The track remained available elsewhere on TikTok, including in other clips and through the platform’s sound library. This isn’t the first time the star pulled her music from a White House video.
The episode follows a similar dispute involving a Trump-affiliated TikTok account just days earlier.
On August 8, Swift’s song August was removed from a video posted by the Team Trump account, which serves as an official campaign page for Trump.
The caption on that post read, “I’m sure Taylor Swift is going to be super excited we used her song.”

A comparable episode recently involved Bad Bunny. The White House used his song La Mudanza in a video tied to immigration enforcement. Days later, the song was muted on that specific post.
