Stone Temple Pilots is looking for a singer after the loss of Scott Weiland. Entrants can submit at the band’s website with an introduction video that tells the band about him- or herself and his or her background, along with a cover of a STP song, photo and brief bio. The deadline to submit is March 7th.

TIME FOR THE ANNUAL NEASTA FIDDLE TUNES COMPETITION AGAIN
This event inspires fiddlers everywhere to compose their own tunes, and supports the cause of string education throughout the great state of Nebraska.
Entries must be postmarked by March 31, 2016. The winners will be announced on May 28, 2016, during the Tallgrass Prairie Fiddle Festival held at the Homestead National Monument in Beatrice, Nebraska. The winning compositions will be performed at the Tallgrass Prairie Fiddle Festival, and printed in Stringing Along, the journal of the Nebraska Chapter of the American String Teachers Association.
