The BCAA Endowment was originally established through the generous support of Neodata Services, Inc. in 1986 to support artistic excellence and promote stability among artists and arts organizations operating within Boulder County.

In 2016, BCAA is able to offer additional grant awards and increase the funding cap thanks to the support of the Hemera Foundation. Hemera Foundation supports innovative organizations and initiatives that foster basic human goodness in individuals and society. In the arts, Hemera supports visionary emerging projects and those at a critical stage in their development. As it begins its arts grant making program, BCAA, through this grant, will act as the local intermediary for the organization over the next two years.

Endowment funds are administered twice yearly to support individual artists and arts organizations with general operating support, equipment purchase or projects that will have an impact on the community. This impact may include education, innovative programming, inclusiveness and/or collaborations.

The minimum grant award is $1,000. The 2016 General Operating Support, Project and Equipment Grant funding cap is $5,000. Fellowship awards are $1000 each.

BCAA Endowment grants are available twice each year:

General operating or equipment support – spring
Unrestricted fellowships in rotating disciplines – spring
Individual or organization project support – late summer

Awards are between $1000 to $5000.

The next application deadline is Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 5 p.m.
