COMBO Songwriting Contest Winner Jackson Emmer is hosting a one-day networking event for Colorado music industry professionals on Sunday, May 21st at Swallow Hill Music in Denver. There will be educational panels, performance opportunities, and of course, food.

The event is co-hosted by Southwest Regional Folk Alliance, and sponsored by Mad Dog Ranch Studios and Woodsongs Lutherie. Registration is $25 (scholarships available). There will be people from all corners of the Colorado music world. Please invite people, musicians, and music professionals from within the Colorado community, and holler if you have any questions at all.

11:15 am – 12 pm – Recording 101 – When to DIY, and When to Book A Studio – Panelists are John McVey (Yonder Mountain Stringband, I’m With Her), Aaron Youngberg (Head for the Hills), and Marc Meeker (Rascal Flatts, Jimmy Buffett, Bela Fleck).

12:15 pm – 1:00 pm – Social Media for Folkies – Panelists are Marisa Kolka (Marketing Manager at Folk Alliance) and Daniel Lorenzo (Digital Marketing Manager at Swallow Hill Music)
