I hope we [Christen McFarland and Anna Frick] were able to shine a light on membership and how the GRAMMY Awards process works and to share insight on so many other things the Academy does beyond the Awards. Speaking of the Awards, I can’t believe I forgot to tell everyone to watch the Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony! The telecast only shows those top 10-15 Awards and tons of performances, but the other categories are awarded the same day in the hours before the big show. The Premiere Ceremony streams on http://www.grammy.com and is really fun to follow – it’s where most of our local nominees’ categories live and some breathtaking performances happen – and this year, while it won’t be live, it sounds like there will be some great surprises in store. Details are below.
The 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards® will air on CBS on Sunday, March 14.
The GRAMMY Awards PREMIERE Ceremony™ – which is the other 75 or so Awards that they don’t show on prime time – will be streaming on http://www.grammy.com beginning at 12pm PT/ 1pm MT.
