Guy Turns Dead Uncle’s Actual Skeleton into a guitar Called the ‘Skelecaster’
By Geordie Gray, The Brag | In truly bizarre news, a metalhead that goes under Prince Midnight has honored his late uncle by fashioning a guitar out of his rendered skeleton.
As MetalSucks report, Prince Midnight attached a guitar neck, pickups, volume knobs, a jack, strings and electronic to the skeletal torso of his uncle. It sounds a little freaky and fetishist, but upon understanding the context of the project it’s actually kind of wholesome.
Prince Midnight’s uncle, Filip, was a heavy metal enthusiast that tragically passed away prematurely in a car accident. In Midnight’s hometown of Greece, orthodox religion rejects cremation. Following Filip’s death, his body was donated to a local college to be medically prepared and rendered, and used to educate students for two decades.
Eventually, the remains of Filip were returned to the family, and Prince Midnight was struck with an unorthodox but ingenious idea. He would pay his respects to the man that inspired his love for heavy metal by turning him into a guitar.
“So, I got the box of bones from Greece and didn’t know what to do at first. Bury them? Cremate them? Put them in the attic? All seemed like poor ways to memorialize someone who got me into heavy metal,” he tells Metal Sucks.
