From Rudy Grant: The end has come. Our Country Jam at the Lakewood American Legion will come to an end on February 29th (tonight). Our Jam started at the White Fence Farm in Lakewood many years ago. Since the closing of the White Fence Farm, we have been having the Jam at the Lakewood American Legion. This Jam was started and run by Ron Seeders, Bob Mannon, and Gene Cossey. We’ve had a good run but the attendance has been down and we depend on tips to pay the Legion and our two professional musicians Ray Sekera and Chris Whitebread. Please come to see the last Jam on Thursday, February 29th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Lakewood American Legion at 17th and Simms.

Rudy also provided a photo with his announcement: This is a picture of the good old days when we would come together every Thursday night at the American Legion and pick & sing country music. Chris Alan on keys, Charlie Dalbec on bass Rudy Grant on rhythm with Host: Ron Seeder-& Greg on rhythm guitar backing up Ms. Ann Penny. It did not get any better than this.
