TODAY a memorial will be held for Stacy Lynn Price at Waneka Lake in Lafayette at 4:00 p.m. Stacy was briefly on the COMBO Board but moved for a job (this was before Zoom, etc.) and had to resign. We adored Stacy and are very sad to hear of her passing. Damn cancer.

Laurie Dameron writes: Please hold my bass player and long time friend, Lorrie, (since 1988 when we were in Mood Swing Big Band that she was a leader of and Sister Swing, our all women band 1990 – 1992) in your thoughts and prayers. She had a very bad accident and injured her left leg – 44 stitches and skin grafting. Lorrie says she’s ready for music again! So please send her some good energy!!! COMBO is sending Lorrie good vibes and hope she’s well again soon.

We had a really nice evening out at our “Schmoozer” last Monday at Illegal Pete’s on Colfax & Race, Denver! Good turnout and a bunch of us ended up talking “Music Business” until almost 9:00 p.m. Our next event is a “Happy Hour” on TUESDAY, July 18th at Odde’s, 9975 (north) Wadsworth Blvd., Westminster.
