Tim Cheney on Facebook, 8/12/15: Robots and automation are replacing factory workers, checkout clerks at the grocery store and bank tellers. Even airline pilots are more dependent on automation to fly and even land the plane. Nobody however, will be buying any written work, painting or decent music from a robot any time soon. Good art, poetry, writing and music requires emotion and passion. Computers possess neither of these qualities. As an artist, my job is gonna be secure for quite a long time. The cheapest Dollar Store calculator can do math faster than the most gifted CPA. But only The Rolling Stones can make “Wild Horses” sound right.
