CU Denver starts this week. I am so blessed to teach there. This is my 22nd year as an Assistant Professor and one of the best parts of my teaching life is seeing my students out there – really succeeding. They are writing songs, making records, performing and touring, doing ticketing for Live Nation and AEG, running merch at Red Rocks, managing festivals for Planet Bluegrsss, running sound for Lake Street Dive, road managing Mavis Staples, running one of the best publishing companies in LA, running sound and lighting companies in the Northwest, artist management companies in Denver, running ticket sales at major venues in New York and in graduate school in Atlanta … and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Please keep those texts, emails and posts coming.. it’s really fun to hear from you and what you’re doing!! I’m so proud of these amazing young folks … it’s just such a joy to run into them at gigs and through letters, Facebook, and via emails. And this week we start the whole process again! Yahoo.
