So here’s the bargain: For everyone that joins COMBO and pays their dues or a previous member who renews their dues by Saturday, September 7th , we will throw those names into a hat for a drawing for the entry at our Board Meeting on Sunday, September 8th. We will notify the winner on Monday, September 9th giving the winner and Jim Attebery, director of the DSE, time to get the entrant set up.
We’ve also confirmed our Annual Songwriters Showcase on Saturday, November 16th at Odde’s, 9975 North Wadsworth, Westminster. From that same group of members (new & renewing), we will ask them to perform two of their original songs! Good chance for your friends of all ages to see you, to sell your CDs and other merchandise, and to make new fans!
AND – COMBO’s president, Barb Dye, says she’ll throw in a free video of one of your shows as well! Not “professional” but filmed with a good camera sat on a tripod so it won’t be “wiggly”. A video that will show you how you look to your audience and give you some great insights into your “act” and a video that you’ll have for forever memories!
Also, your membership entitles you to a free entry (2 for band memberships) into our Songwriting Contest being held Summer 2025! Our director has figured out a super-good way to get the top-scoring songs out to our list of record companies, music supervisors, publishers, and more!

The Durango Songwriters Expo will be held Thursday, October 3rd thru Saturday, October 5th, 2024, at the Omni Interlocken Hotel & Resort in Broomfield, Colorado. We’re hoping to sponsor a Meet & Greet on Wednesday night, October 2nd at the hotel.
