The COMBO Board of Directors welcomes new members Jahna Eichel of Fort Collins, Andrew Pike, Arvada, and Harold Rapp, III, of Aurora. Besides welcoming the new board members, the board also elected new officers for the 2016 year. Retaining the presidency is Barb Dye, Annette Cannon was elected Vice-President, and David Barber and Mark King stayed on as Treasurer and Secretary respectively. Jahna will also assist with the website along with David and Mark, and she will be sending news from regarding the Northern Colorado music scene for our newsletter and website.
We are very sad to see Andy Ard go after serving more than 3 years as Vice-President but his bands are doing super-well (the very good news) and he finds himself time-constricted! Thank you, Andy, very much for your service, and we look forward to your new position as “Contributor” to COMBO and its membership.
Below are bios for our new members:
Jahna Eichel
Jahna and her husband run a rehearsal studio and work with bands in the Fort Collins/Loveland and Longmont area of Colorado. She will be sending news from the Northern Colorado area for our readers. Jahna is also very good at graphics and has designed flyers for COMBO for their programs featuring Noah Peterson and Dick Weissman. Andrew
Jahna is a studio owner, producer and branding consultant in Fort Collins. She is currently the president of a networking group for small business owners and has experience being on boards and feels she will be a great asset to COMBO.
Her background in music is 100% music business related. While she does not play an instrument, she has been a musicians’ advocate in business and her husband Jason is a guitar player. In 2014 they built Higher Ground Rehearsal Studios out of a 4,000 sq ft warehouse – Fort Collins’ first ever back-lined music rehearsal facility. Before their space, bands were forced to rent chicken coops and storage units and were subject to burglary on multiple occasions. Their space is safe, secure and equipped. Each room and its components were designed by Jahna and recreated with the help of their construction team. Check out the studio here: www.highergroundrehearsalstudios.com
Jahna’s background in marketing, PR and branding spans a 10 year time frame in which she gained experience in corporate branding and marketing as well as small and micro business marketing through consulting. Because COMBO is business heavy, Jahna thinks her experiences in marketing and PR will be very beneficial to the organization.

Andrew Pike
Andrew wants to be more involved in the music scene in Colorado. He has been receiving the COMBO newsletter for over a year and felt it was time to get more involved with the organization.
Andrew is an audio engineer at Sounds True in Louisville, and owns his own music production company. His musical involvement ranges from playing shows, recording, engineering, and composing original music for local companies and artists. He is also involved in the Denver hip hop scene and would love to use his connections to infuse some funk into COMBO’s events and fundraising efforts. He is also interested in helping with other events that COMBO is involved with including live sound, extra hands for set up/tear down, or just a face of the organization at the events. Because Andrew lives in Arvada, he feels that he is a good “go-between” for the musicians in the Boulder/Broomfield/Lafayette/Louisville area as well as Arvada and the musicians in the Denver area.

Harold Rapp, III
Harold is a local saxophonist/artist transitioning into the national realm and feels that he can provide a different perspective as far as music and business. He believes that knowledge is a fundamental part of the music business, and by submerging himself with like-minded people, he will be able to help educate himself as well as others in the future. He believes in community service and would love to be involved in more opportunities. Currently, he participates at different schools discussing keeping music alive. He recently took on the job of Musical Director of the Profit Academy. He has a link on his website addressing his community service. He is eager to learn, as well as share insight in his current journey. He is very excited for this opportunity to grow and establish long term relationships in a diverse community. Harold will be a very strong asset to the COMBO board. [Note: Harold was one of the winners of COMBO’s Songwriting contest (before he became a board member) and received rave reviews at the Durango Songwriters Expo for his saxophone-heavy instrumental song, Funk It Up!]
