BKXperience is your opportunity to become a Blue Knight in 2021 and to learn from some of the best educators in marching arts activity.
Last spring, seasons, and dreams, came to a crashing halt. Almost one year later, we are here, and we can see the other side. This was only made possible by staff, family, and supporters who believe in our mission.
There remains so much uncertainty in our world. However, you can be certain Ascend Performing Arts, its staff and supporters remain committed to providing a rewarding and memorable experience for these young adults in 2021 and beyond.
We have some extreme challenges ahead.
As the summer approaches, we are busily operationalizing our plan. The planning is extreme and never more important. To safely provide the drum corps experience we must take on additional medical and safety security staff. We have purchased a sanitizing fogger for our buses, vans, kitchen, and housing sites. We must provide appropriate quantities of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), sanitizing stations, and other necessary supplies. A huge part of our plan is an extensive testing program.
The list goes on and on…
Why would we put ourselves through this, can’t we wait? The answer could be best answered by the supporters who have so generously given us to get us to this point. Their answer would be an emphatic NO! They realize the life-changing experience this is, that after a year of isolation and silent football fields, is perhaps needed now more than ever. Never has there been a better time to act.
