These fine students represented Arvada West at the 2018 Colorado All State Choir this weekend.
Thirty-four students from Arvada West HS were selected and performed with the 2018 Colorado All State Choir. Thousands of juniors and seniors audition in the fall and a few hundred are selected to represent excellence in singing at the high school level across the state of Colorado.
The students spent two days in rehearsal with renowned guest clinicians – Dr. André Thomas from Florida State University, Dr. Edith Copley from Northern Arizona University, and Dr. Sharon Paul from Oregon State University. The event culminated in a phenomenal sold out performance at the Buell Theatre at the DCPA Saturday night.
Arvada West choir classes are taught by Chris Maunu who was recently nominated for the 2018 Grammys “Music Educator of the Year” award. Way to go, Chris!
