If you didn’t see it – or if you want to see it again – this is a MUST WATCH episode shown last week on ABC’s ‘Nashville’ television show. This particular “episode” presented stories behind the music; the songwriters were named; vignettes on how the songs were written; lots of footage of the historic Ryman Theatre; interviews with the stars/artists from the show; clips showing what’s goes on in the rehearsal studio as well as the recording studio; and lots more. Great viewing for all musicians and you’d be doing your teenage musicians a big favor by having them watch it and paying attention to the “behind the scenes” footage. The show follows Music Director Buddy Miller through his paces and his job putting it all together. Many of the songs and acts are also featured on this year’s Tour as well as on some of the ‘Nashville’ albums.
