From Dave’s friend Jeremy Howie: As you may have heard, Dave had a horrible accident on Saturday May 18th hiking behind his home in west Loveland. He fell 60’ off a cliff and then tumbled another 100 feet down a rocky slope. Miraculously he survived, but sustained massive injuries including 17 broken bones (legs, arms, tailbone, collarbone, ribs, foot, knee), lacerations requiring a blood transfusion, liver injury, brain injury and more.
His wife Sandy found him, called 911, and a 4 hour rescue operation ensued with emergency departments from multiple surrounding areas. He was airlifted to nearby MCR where he underwent surgery.
Dave will soon be transitioning to a rehab facility and will begin the long journey of recovery.
But the “Miracle Man” and his family need your help.
Dave’s injuries will prevent him from working for an extended period, and his medical bills are already mounting. As the primary breadwinner for his wife Sandy and their 13-year-old daughter Naomi, Dave’s inability to work places a significant financial strain on his family.
A GoFundMe campaign has been created to alleviate some of that burden, allowing Dave to focus on his recovery without the added stress of financial worries.
Dave is one of the most humble, kind, and giving people you will ever meet. He is also a world class talent musician who has brought joy to thousands in the northern CO community for decades.
It’s now our turn to give back to Dave.
Any donation you can make would be greatly appreciated, no matter how small.
And if you could please share this post and say a prayer for Dave and his family for his full recovery, it would mean so much.
Thank you so very much to those who have already generously donated to help Dave, and to those who will be donating soon. Your kindness is truly AMAZING.
