By Lisa McLoughlin, Evening Standard | Black Sabbath’s highly anticipated reunion show is facing a last-minute change, as Wolfgang Van Halen has confirmed he’s no longer part of the event due to scheduling conflicts.

The update comes just weeks before Ozzy is due to take the stage at Villa Park in Birmingham on July 5 for Back To The Beginning for his final live performance.

The special homecoming show will feature a short solo set before he reunites with Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward for the first time in two decades.

The concert boasts a star-studded roster, with Metallica, Slayer, Pantera, and Anthrax among those joining the bill.

However, Van Halen, who had initially been announced to appear, has now revealed that he’s had to withdraw.
