Miguel Dakota, a 22 year old singer out of Monument, Colorado, made it through to the finals of America’s Got Talent! The final performance show was shown on Tuesday, September 16th with the results show on Wednesday, Sept. 17th on NBC (Channel 9 in Denver). Unfortunately, Miguel came in 6th which was kind of shocking actually since he grew so much as a performer and musician during the show. Miguel’s competition was Quintavious Johnson, a 12 year old singer with an awesome voice, showmanship, and stage presence, who took 5th place (the audience boo’d like mad on this one, and what a gracious, poised young man he was); Sons of Serendip, a musical quartet consisting of a vocalist with a voice like an angel, a keyboard player, a celloist, and a harpist (4th place); AcroArmy, a group of death-defying acrobats (3rd place); Emily West, a fabulous, fabulous singer (2nd place); and Mat Franco, a terrific illusionist/magician who won first place, a million dollars, and a show in Las Vegas!
(Rumor has it that Simon Cowell is interested in signing Miguel. We wish him the best and hope that this rumor is true!)
