“Feeling Phil by Three,” the first single from Mad Dog Blues’ new ALL THE WAY CD, is out now everywhere! Inspired by the classic harmonica-only track, “Blues Harp Blues by Three,” recorded in 1982 live at the American Folk and Blues Festival and featuring Carey Bell, Billy Branch & Phil Wiggins, we thought it an appropriate tribute to create our own harmonica-only jam.
The Colorado harmonica mainstay, Mad Dog Friedman, the International Blues Challenge 2024 Solo/Duo winner, Joe Waters, and the up-and-coming harp master, Josh Elioseff, are all wailing on this tribute to Phil Wiggins who passed in May. RIP Phil and may you live on in the music you inspire.
