Thoughts and Prayers|

COMBO is very sorry to hear this. Dave is a long-time member of COMBO, and his brother Morris Beegle was a founding member of our Colorado Music Association. We were alerted to this matter by Larry Dye and we found this information on Facebook: A GoFundMe has been set up to help Dave and his family out with medical bills and rehab costs. Please help if you can – every $5 helps.

From Jason Duende: On the way home from my gig last night, I found out that my life-long friend and musical mentor, Dave Beegle, fell 60 feet off a cliff while on a hike near his home.

My son, Colorado, had recently began taking guitar lessons from him. He went to Dave’s house yesterday for a lesson, and no one at the house knew where Dave was. As my son was leaving, he saw some emergency vehicles and a helicopter a few blocks away. He didn’t know at the time that it was Dave on the flight-for-life helicopter headed to the ICU.

I can’t overstate the influence Dave has been on my life. From music and guitar playing to my studio business to how humble and gracious he is to his positive attitude and great work ethic.

His wife Sandy found him and it took rescue crews 3 hours to get him out and airlift him to the hospital where he immediately underwent surgery.

He broke both arms and legs, had a brain bleed, liver injury, broken knee, broken foot, broken tailbone, broken ribs, broken collarbone and lacerations including a deep laceration on his back. Yesterday he underwent a blood transfusion due to the loss of blood from his back.

He did not break his neck/back or hands/fingers. It is truly a miracle he is alive for which we are so very grateful.

He can make a full recovery but the road will be a long one. He will not be able to work for quite some time. I have created a GoFundMe to help with mounting medical bills, living expenses, and rehab costs.

Dave is one of the kindest, most generous, loving, humble people I know…in addition to being an insanely gifted musician. If you know Dave or have seen him perform you know what I am talking about.

He would never ask for help, so I’m asking for him.

He has given others so much joy over the decades with his music and helping other musicians succeed. Now it’s time for us to give back to Dave and his family. Please consider joining me in supporting Dave, his wife Sandy, and their 13 year old daughter Naomi in his healing journey.

Thank you for considering a donation and if you can, please leave a comment of support to him, and say a prayer for Dave and his family.

Several local musicians including Liz Barnez, Steve Manshel, Michael Olson, Shauna Chanda, and others are in the early stages of planning a benefit concert for him which will be AMAZING! Stay tuned to this page for updates.

I will be posting updates on Dave’s condition on his GoFundMe page where you can donate and get updates.
