Kudos to Ashleigh – Denver Open Media’s Newest Intern

My name is Ashleigh Smith but I go by Ashlyn Toria when writing and producing music. I am both an audio engineer and a certified music producer.

I have been producing, arranging, mixing, and mastering music for three years and have been mixing, mapping, and creating soundscapes for four. Though I am a native to Denver, I also have a master’s degree in music from Oxford Brookes University in the UK. Last year I completed a part-time mentorship program with Conways Sound here in Denver where I acquired a certification in music production.

I worked one-on-one with professionals developing my music-creating abilities and mixing skills in the studio while working with many different digital audio workstations (Ableton, Pro Tools, Studio One, and Adobe Audition). This included work in sound design, beat making, composing, arranging, vocal production, and mixing. Currently, I busy myself with freelance projects with artists, fellow producers, audiobooks, and podcasts.

I’m excited to be apart of the Denver Open Media Radio community as an intern and I’m ready to do what I can to help the radio flourish.
