Meet the newlyweds – Ben & Lohde Makinen!
Ben Makinen: I found my soulmate, Lohde, while on a video shoot in Bali last June for Tunas Mekar. We were married in a traditional Hindu ceremony in the center of the Indonesian island on Sept 26.
Lohde (pronounced “luh-day”) and I now begin the arduous task of working with US Immigration… to bring Lohde and her 2 children (plus one of our own making due in March) to America to join my daughter Dakota (senior class president at Denver School of the Arts) and me at home.
I am thrilled to have joined Lohde’s large and extended family already here in Colorado (and Kansas) headed up by their clan leader Pak Made Lasmawan who has been teaching Gamelan music at the university level (Colorado College) for the last 27 years.
Thank you all for the well wishes and congratulations – I can’t wait for you to meet her!
