Colorado Creative Industries announced the recipients for the 2016 Career Advancement grant program. A total of 15 grants were awarded in ten counties across the state totaling just over $28,500. These grants are given to creative entrepreneurs and artists to help stimulate their commercial creative business.

Larimer County Grantees: Tomas Herrera – $2,500; Todd Mitchell – $2,400; Abigale Grace – $2,257
Moffat County Grantee: Janele Husband – $2,104

Smashing Pumpkins Singer Billy Corgan is a Dad
The 48-year-old Smashing Pumpkins frontman and Chloe Mendel, a 22-year-old New York City-based artist, welcomed their first child together on Nov. 16, according Corgan’s rep. They named their baby boy Augustus Juppiter Corgan.
Corgan and Mendel have been dating since 2013, according to reports. Mendel is the daughter of fashion designers Gilles Mendel and Jenny Mui.
Corgan formed Smashing Pumpkins in Chicago in 1988. The band released its ninth studio album last year.
