From COMBO member John Macy on Facebook: The Rockport Songwriter Association is pleased to announce the first recipient of our Rockport Song Cast is Corpus Christi based songwriter Emma James. The Song Cast is a peer nominated program that selects young Texas songwriters and pairs them with a studio and producer to create a collection of their songs. This will be pressed into a CD package and given to the artist at no cost, along with a performance slot at the Rockport Songwriter Festival. Emma is recording her project at the Coastal Bend Music studio in Rockport, TX with producer/engineer Jules Taylor. Emma was nominated by The Corpus Christi Songwriter Association and we are excited to welcome her into our RSA family.
