Long before Joe Wren & The Roadies became the high-energy country act audiences are discovering today, Joe was building his reputation one performance at a time as an acoustic solo artist. Those early shows weren’t merely about filling a room with songs. They gave Joe the opportunity to develop the connection with an audience that has become one of the defining characteristics of his performances.
Along the way, Joe began stepping onto stages and building relationships with some of the respected names throughout the regional music community, including the Hillbilly Demons, Duey Weibel and The Unbroken, Rhett Haney, Jeff Golden, Eric Goodwin, Michael Alt, and many others.
Those relationships mattered. Every stage, every musician, and every audience became another chapter in an artist’s development.
But eventually, one guitar wasn’t going to be enough.
The Roadies Are Born
As Joe’s opportunities grew, so did the vision. The next chapter wasn’t simply about putting musicians behind a singer. It was about surrounding Joe with experienced performers and a dedicated support team who could bring their individual talents, personalities, experience, and passion together to create something bigger.
That evolution became Joe Wren & The Roadies.
Today, the lineup brings together an impressive collection of musicians: Lawrence “Larry” Clark on keyboards, Dan McArthur on bass, John Weeks of the John Weeks Band on guitar and vocals, Doug Wolkin on guitar, and Tim Bovenzi on drums and vocals.
Each musician brings something different to the stage. Together, they are helping transform Joe’s original acoustic foundation into a full-scale live experience—country at its core, but built around musicianship, energy, versatility, and entertainment.
And just as important as the people audiences see under the stage lights are the people helping make the journey possible behind them.
Sherie “Mama Wren” Wren and Brian Wren, owners and operators behind the venture, bring an unmistakable family presence to everything surrounding Joe. Their loyalty, care, encouragement, and commitment to Joe are matched by a sincere appreciation for the musicians, friends, supporters, and members of the local music community who have helped him along the way.
Joe Wren & The Roadies have continued earning opportunities at venues including The Platte River Bar & Grill, Wide Open Saloon, Broken Bow Dance Hall, Denver Dance Hall, The Stillery, and many others.
For the first time, Joe Wren & The Roadies will take over a Saturday night at Broken Bow Dance Hall in Denver, Colorado—another significant step for a band whose presence in the Colorado country scene continues to grow.
The band will head to Jackson, Wyoming, where Joe Wren & The Roadies will perform at the legendary Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, bringing this rapidly developing Colorado act to one of the West’s most recognizable country music destinations.
And 2027 Is Already Calling
