According to his mother, Jeremy came into the world singing. He started with the piano at age seven, and began writing songs when he first picked up a guitar at the age of 18. Raised on a diet of Simon & Garfunkel, John Denver and Jerry Garcia, Jeremy was steeped in the soaring harmonies and technical guitar playing of the masters. Combining a unique mix of folk, bluegrass, and rock n’roll, Dion’s unique “Mile High Americana” style has the sound of hope and heartbreak. Known for his passionate performances, insightful lyrics and masterful guitar work, Jeremy’s shows leave audiences feeling connected, hopeful, and humming a tune.

Award-winning singer-songwriter Jeremy Dion is a licensed therapist by day who offers toe-tapping folk therapy by night. With soaring harmonies and technical riffs reminiscent of Noah Kahan or John Mayer, Jeremy has brought his musical optimism to stages ranging from the Boulder Theater to Edinburgh’s famed Fringe Festival. So whether you’re feeling up, down or just want a night on the town, Jeremy’s heart-opening words will leave you feeling connected, hopeful, and humming a tune — no couch required.

Antonio Lopez is a quiet man with something to say. His music is like a sweet onion, each layer revealing more. His adept guitar work and composition skills are never used in a showy way but rather like the spices in a home-cooked meal. The result is a feast of emotions that delight the listener.

“Here We Are,” the new album by Antonio Lopez, explores the intimate connection between our hopes, dreams, and fears. “Here We Are” is an alluring collection of songs written by an artist wrestling with his ego as he chases success and slow dances with failure. Through the lens of his indigenous Chicano roots, Lopez speaks many truths with gentle precision. Rather than tell the listener what to feel or think, Lopez invites you to see yourself reflected in the lyrical stories created by his music.

Antonio Lopez is a Colorado native of indigenous descent. Born and raised in Alamosa and now residing in Longmont, he grew up steeped in the Chicanx culture of southern Colorado.

The Antonio Lopez Band is:
Antonio Lopez – guitar, vocals, piano
Chad E. Mathis – bass, vocals
Jonathan Sadler – marimba, vibraphone, aux percussion, vocals
Christopher Scott Wright – drums, vocals

Anna Cutler is more than a singer/songwriter, she is an entertainer. Telling quirky stories in between heartfelt songs, Anna connects with audiences of all walks of life. She is best known for coming in top ten at the internationally recognized Rocky Mountain Folks Festival Singer Songwriter Showcase earlier this year with her song “Candle”. If you like Norah Jones, Regina Spektor, Taylor Swift, or even Neil Young you should definitely spend your evening sipping a craft cocktail and relishing in some sweet and melancholy folk music.

Velvet Elk Lounge was born from the desire to create a small, funky, live music venue in Boulder where you can get a proper cocktail and listen to great, local music. When there is not a live band, check the calendar for dj events, open mic nights, dance your pants off parties, and a host of other happenings. This space has been home to many Boulder businesses including a Cadillac dealership, a bowling alley, a long standing travel agency and now a palace of music and fun. Check the calendar, check the mirror, check yourself…. hope to see you soon.

Velvet Elk does not allow minors – no exceptions.
