Photo: Holly & Derrick Hornyan | Front Row Concert Photos on Fb, 4/03/26: My first ever “Name your price” photo sale! And it’s for a great cause: My good friend Derrick Hornyan is fighting Leukemia in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. “D-Rock” is one of the best rock photographers to come out of Denver. The knowledge he has shared with me, and the influence he has had on my photography are both profound. Plus, he’s a really good human. That’s important.
I’m sharing a recent photo of him with his permission. He just had a bone marrow draw and is currently undergoing chemo. The goal is to help raise money to cover the huge hospital and living expenses he is incurring, at a time when he cannot work.
Here’s what I’m doing: For one week only, through April 10, you can name your price on 40 different 8×12 prints I have in my inventory. (Suggested pricing is $30-$80, but that’s up to you). I will arrange delivery to you in the metro Denver area during the week of April 13-17. If you’re outside of the metro Denver area, we can try and figure something out.
100% of the money raised goes to Derrick. I’m donating my time and the cost of the prints. Note: The pictures here were taken with my iPhone. These prints look awesome (if I do say so myself), far better than the iPhone captures.
Among the prints I have: AC/DC, Pat Benatar, Bon Jovi, Dio, The Iron Maidens, Elton John, George Lynch, Metallica, a lot of Mötley Crüe, Official Motörhead, Stevie Nicks, Ripper Owns, Puddle of Mudd, Buddy Rich, Saving Able, Saliva, Scorpions, Slaughter, a lot of Van Halen, Winger. Also a bunch of local drummers, including Arlen Felsen, Tim Elliott and Joey Shapiro.
It’s really simple to purchase: DM me with the print you want. First come, first served. I take PayPal or Venmo. We’ll figure out the delivery. That’s it. I’m also happy to sign the prints if you want, and I can completely understand if you don’t want them signed. I’d love to see someone buy a bunch of these. And I’d be even happier if someone whose photo is on this list offers to buy their photo for an even higher price or to donate to the “Go Fund Me”. My goal would be to sell 20 prints and raise $1,000. Maybe we can do more? It’s all going to D-Rock!

My brother, Derrick has been diagnosed with Cancer – Leukemia to be exact. He and his wife, Holly have been living in the Los Cabo area for about 10 years now where he’s been enjoying life as a professional photographer and Holly an Artist…
After what they thought was complications from the flu, he wound up in the capital of Baja California Sur, La Paz where he’s now hospitalized and being treated for a form of acute leukemia. The costs will be devastating for them and they are looking for some help. Your support could make a real difference in their lives and play an important role in his recovery.
Many of you know my brother Derrick or “D-Rock” either from Telluride, his awesome photography work in Denver and in Los Cabo, through me and/or Holly, or just because of his great personality. The hospital is an hour away from his home, and the strain is enormous on both his wife Holly, and Derrick as well.
