Julie Geller of Setting the Stage writes: In preparation for Rosh Hashana this year, our community gathered in our home to sing songs from the liturgy together. Singing together been a great source of comfort for me and so many others during this war. The ability of group singing to make us feel safe, loved, hopeful, uplifted and part of something bigger than ourselves is, at least for me, unmatched.
I wanted to share an excerpt from the evening with you. The words are from the Avinu Malkeinu prayer and the tune is from the Belzer Chassidim. I had never heard it until we got to Israel. “May this moment be a moment of mercy and a time of favor before You.” Amen.

May this new year bring safety, good health, hope, joy, and most of all peace.

Shana tova!
