We’re so excited about our very first DCS event, being held at Syntax Physic Opera on Saturday, September 10th! This symposium is a forum for composers in all genres to present their work, to learn about ways to make money with their music, and to meet other composers and share ideas.
We’re honored to have the prolific Neil Lyons as our first keynote presenter! Neil is an amazing composer and producer, and he currently runs the licensing arm of Moon Magnet Studios. (http://moonmagnetmusic.com/) Moon Magnet currently represents over 40 artists and producers, and in the last 18 months have sealed 84 placements in everything from local TV ads to feature length films.
Neil’s presentation will be followed by exhibitions of Denver composers presenting everything from modern classical music to mixed-media, avant-garde works.
This is going to be an informative and fun event, where we can all learn about how to make money with our music and also be exposed to some innovative ideas for composing music!
