Stage Show and CD Release! Written by COMBO member Elmo Chesterhazy and staged by Karma Raley, “Angel Falls” is a progressive, edgy Art Rock band. The production is lead by Elmo, with musicians Karma Raley, Tim DiBerardino, Max Mago, and Jim Hipp along with singer/dancer/artists Avalin Rayne, Karen Kent, Eutimia Cruz Montoya, Carlos Sandoval, and Penny Greenwell.
Elmo’s songs reflect every creative artist’s continual struggle with finding relevance and meaning. From the first song’s “…time is just the wind outside my window…” thru “…all our dreams and all our desires turned to dust and funeral pyres…” to “…angels fall and never die ’cause after all it’s only sky…” Elmo dances with his muse(s) and takes his audience along for the ride!!!
Reviews:
“…Elmo is the voice inside my head…deeply sympathetic in a way no one else can be…recently he has been singing about a metallic flying bird that I am pretty sure might be my own soul and it’s really bad-ass…” (Herman Gauche, Denver, CO July 12, 2014).
“…ground breaking band…more than just creating heady unique music…get a sense of what they want to give to the world…what they want to get…feel the support they give each other’s visions…broaden your musical horizon…hear classics in the making…” (Michi Theis, offandonstage.com – interview/recording April 2014).
“…nothing derivative, wholly original… takes various styles hostage and reworks them with a wry sense of humor… gets my honors for best album (Starlight Road) so far this summer…” (Jim McQuiggin, Pagosa Sun, Aug 6, 2009). Starlight Road available on iTunes and Cd Baby.
“…other worldly, you bet… here and now, absolutely… complex tapestry and surreal vibration…” (Carmen Allgood, coloradowave.com).

The mission of MHS is to provide a community-based platform for youth music programs in the Mile High area by fostering an environment of creativity and mentorship.
Mile High Scenesters was formed in 2012 after a group of music loving acquaintances came together through a very successful benefit held for long standing family members of the Denver music community after they had suffered a personal tragedy. This group found they had an undeniable chemistry along with their mutually shared love and passion and involvement in the local music community and decided they wanted to do so much more!
