Music Notes|

From Dave Stasney, Colorado Tribute and Cover Bands, Facebook, 10/16/25: Tip for bands boosting videos on Facebook: always share your boosted post instead of re-uploading it. Here’s why:

  • It keeps all engagement in one place, so every like, comment, and share adds momentum to the same post. It also maximizes your ad spend since the boosted post is already getting paid reach and sharing it expands that organically.
  • A single video with higher views and comments builds more credibility than several smaller uploads. Facebook’s algorithm also favors posts that continue to grow rather than duplicates that start from zero.
  • When sharing, keep it simple. If the boosted post already includes all the details, add just one short line of context such as “This show’s coming up fast,” or “If you haven’t seen this yet, check it out.” That keeps the post human and engaging without burying the original content.
  • Post once, boost once, and share that same video everywhere to get the best results.
