Ella performed on October 31 at the Grand Casino Arena in St. Paul, Minnesota as the final stop of her Dandelion Tour. For the holiday show Ella and her band dressed up as characters from the Disney Toy Story universe, with the 27-year-old performing as Jessie the cowgirl.

The sold-out concert drew a crowd of over 15,000 fans many of which decided to throw candy at the star, in a sweet gesture that could’ve turned dangerous given the wrong step.

In concert footage circulating online of the moment, Ella playfully said on stage, “Where does this candy keep coming from what the hell? I know it’s Halloween but I ain’t trying to trip and die d—!”

Under the video, fans took the comment section praising Ella’s humorous response to the candy while still letting her fans know that it could be a hazard. In the comments of a Facebook post sharing the moment, one person commented, “Good for her. People just do not think sometimes!”
