By Daniel Bird & Hollie Beale, The Daily Express | Country music artist Jillian Cardarelli has revealed a breast cancer diagnosis. The 33-year-old announced she was diagnosed with stage two invasive ductal carcinoma on May 21.
The performer, recognized for tracks including Strong, who recently marked her fifth wedding anniversary, had been working on fresh material and preparing to head to Toronto for the second season of the series Crossroad Springs when she received the devastating news.
Now, three weeks after her diagnosis, Jillian says her world has been completely upended, leaving her disoriented.
In a recent interview, she explained she had been so immersed in work, her calendar, memorizing scripts and composing music when everything came to an abrupt halt.
“And the next thing is doctors, scans, pathology reports and words I’d never even … I feel like I’m learning a new language,” she shared with People magazine.
Currently, because she’s in the initial phases of her diagnosis, medical professionals are developing a treatment strategy with Jillian.
