Photo: Nick Summers (by Annette Cannon) WOW! What a GREAT turn-out we had for our Songwriters Showcase at Odde’s in Westminster! We want to THANK all of the supporters who came out and we can’t thank our songwriters who performed enough! Nick Summers, Willie Hammond, Arun Guragai, Joy Iwancio, Matt Gray & Ty, Laurie Dameron and Lori, Steve Son & Randy Sibley, Baggs Patrick, and Lisa Selle put on a super show, all performing their own original songs that they wrote! (Yes, “original songs” were written by someone [NOT AI] and these people are those songwriters!)
Our VP Annette Cannon took around a “tip jar” and we sincerely thank those who donated to help us out. We also passed out the CDs with the top-scoring songs, performed by their songwriters at the show and we want to THANK Aurora’s own Rod Myers and CODA-Inc. for helping us out with replicating!
Besides Annette, other COMBO board members who attended were Barb Dye (President), David Barber (webmaster), Bryan Belisle, Todd Caron, Tamera Duran (who video’d for us), and Nick Summers! This was a good chance to meet our hard-working board who are all very knowledgeable in the business of music!
Next up: COMBO’s Holiday Dinner at the Aquarium Restaurant on Sunday, December 10th at 5:00 p.m. Details under “Events”!
Big bummer: Two groups of people decided to “dine & dash” after the show. We hope they were not supporters of COMBO. They left the club holding the bag for hundreds of dollars in food and drinks. That is SO WRONG of those people. SHAME ON THEM.
